Year 1 and 2 visit the seaside
Well, Clacton!
On Tuesday children in Years 1 and 2 went on their annual trip to the seaside. This year saw a change of venue. We went to Clacton-On-Sea.
When we arrived at Clacton we went straight to the beach, put down our towels and ate our lunch. We then played in the sand, building sandcastles and digging big holes! The school bought every child an ice lolly which helped to cool them down as the weather, which was on our side, warmed up.
We took the children onto the pier where they were able to go into a number of souvenir shops and buy gifts. The journey home was a little quieter than the journey there. I don’t know who was more tired the children or the staff, but I know that a good time was had by all.
