Children are introduced to design as a means of solving everyday problems. They are encouraged to select appropriate materials to build and test their solutions.

In line with National Curriculum requirements, children are encouraged to plan, design and make artefacts for various purposes. They are also encouraged to evaluate and improve their designs so that they learn to think for themselves and develop problem-solving skills.

The school has a well-equipped cookery room. Each child has the opportunity to cook at least once during the year. We are grateful for all the help from parents which enables this to happen. Volunteers are still being sought!
