First Light Animation

On Tuesday 28th February Nathan, Michael, Kim and I met Rachel at Living Archive to go to London. Nathan and I are both in year 6, while Michael and Kim have moved up and are in Year 7 at The Radcliffe School.

We went to London for the judging of our animated film ‘The Forest’

After a light lunch of pastries and croissants we went
to the Odeon in Leicester Square for the awards ceremony. The Forest came second overall in the national competition for the under 12’s category.

The prizes were awarded by stars including Connie
from Blue Peter and the new James Bond as well as the actors playing the twin Wesleys in the Harry Potter films.

Each animator received a mini torch, James Bond cap, a First Light Animation
tee shirt, a pen, a wrist band two cinema tickets and a bag, together with a great day out.

We were helped by Living Archive of Wolverton.

The competition is organised by First Light . The 2006 awards are not yet available on their site but is well worth a look.
